Rugby legend Sam Cane and wife Harriet are one step closer to taking ownership of their new build in the Waikato. Urban Homes, proud sponsors of Bay of Plenty rugby, is proud to be building the couple’s dream home.
We caught up with Sam and Harriet on-site recently, as they met with Urban Homes project manager Jordan Harding and the building team.
The excitement is growing for the couple, who are building for the first time. “It’s really starting to look like a home now,” said Sam.
“It’s very exciting because we are coming out here more and more now – every day actually!” said Harriet.
During the build, Sam and Harriet have been working closely with project manager Jordan, who keeps them informed of everything happening on-site, and helps guide them through important decisions about their new home.
“Jordan has been awesome to deal with; no job is ever too big,” said Sam.
“He’s always willing to make the effort and come and see us at the house and tell us what’s going on,” said Harriet.
The Urban Homes app, MyUrban, has also played a key role in the build for Sam and Harriet. The app gives Sam and Harriet access to the building schedule, images of their new home, important documents, budget information, and communication from Jordan.
In the final stages of the build, the kitchen and laundry will be installed, floors laid, walls and ceiling painted, and decking built. The plumbing and electrical services will also be finished.
It’s not long now until the couple take ownership and we can’t wait to take you on a tour of their new home!
“Our friends keep asking us when we move in, and it’s not long now. We certainly can’t wait,” said Sam.
